The Italian excellence deriving from the world of citrus fruits, fruit of tradition, the savoir faire and the productive innovation of Capua, a producer of citrus essential oils since 1880 have inspired Gian Luca Perris creative director of the Maison Perris Monte Carlo. Capua has been working with raw materials from the perfumery tradition since 1880 and today combines tradition with new extraction methods that allow the elimination of furocoumarins (photosensitive molecules that have compromised the use of these essential oils) and phthalates (derived from harvesting tools) with cold fraction (up to -20C) through molecular evaporators that guarantee an extraction of total integrity, representative of all the facets of the essential oil without losing the most delicate parts often damaged by heat. The triad of the new collection, dedicated to citrus fruits, expresses the power of the sun and the earth that enhances the characteristics of the fruits it is composed of: bergamot, mandarin and citron. The Diamante citron is the most famous variety of citron in the world and takes its name from the city of Diamante, located in the province of Cosenza, in Calabria, on the south-western coast of Italy, which is its most famous cultivation point. The Diamante citron has been celebrated by poets such as Byron and D'Annunzio. It is a fresh and sweet citrus fruit often used in the world of pastry making precisely because it is not acidic like other citrus fruits. Since the 80s it had almost been abandoned by the world of perfumery due to its high furocoumarin content. Today, thanks to the possibility of eliminating these molecules, it can be used again even in large quantities. The sweet facets of Cedar are enhanced in the fragrance with a touch of modernity brought by a spicy accord in the heart and a soft and musky base.
