The HB-2 pickups were developed to recreate the tone of vintage Guild HB-1 pickups in a standardsize humbucker format. Featuring Alnico II magnets, they deliver rich, warm vintage tone. The sound of the Surfliner HH is driven by the Guild Rocker Pickup Switching System and push/pull master volume and tone controls. Each rocker switch and push/pull are assigned to a single pickup allowing players to dial in a total of 8 pickup combinations. Go from smooth, creamy tones to snappy single-coil or full frequency, acoustic-like tones in a matter of a few pushes and pulls.
