Features

The general purpose of the installation is determined by the type of plumbing it is intended for.

For toilets. The most famous and common variety of sanitary installations - construction for suspended toilets. Be sure to have a «seat» under the tank (it can even be immediately included in the delivery); this is the main difference between such installations and models for bidet.

For urinals. Installations for urinals have two distinguishing features: a rather large height of the bowl installation (due to the specificity of the application) and no space for the tank (the flush is carried out with running water from the water pipe).

For bidet. Installations for the bidet have approximately the same height of the bowl installation as models for toilet bowls, but do not provide for the installation of a tank - this kind of plumbing uses running water.

For washbasins. The distinctive feature of washbasin installations is the high height of the bowl installation. In addition, the design may include additional equipment for easy connection - for example, pipes for hot and cold water hoses. Note that such models can be designed for different types of washbasins: for example, some solutions allow the installation of the mixer directly on the wall (on installation), others require installation of the...mixer on the sink. These details should be specified separately.

— For the shower. Installations for shower systems embedded in the wall. Such systems are rarely used, so this kind of installation is not very common.

Construction type

This parameter defines the installation features first.

Frame. Frame models are called floor-mounted models. They may have additional wall attachments, but most of the load still falls on the floor. Due to this, such constructions do not need to be attached to a permanent wall, they can be used even with decorative partitions of plasterboard and other similar materials. In this case, the load-bearing capacity of frame installations allows them to be used with suspended plumbing.

Prefabricated. Prefabricated installations are fixed to the wall without floor support. This method of installation is suitable only for capital walls, and the space under installation is desirable to brick up for additional reliability. Also note that many such models are intended exclusively for floor plumbing and can not be used for hanging equipment. On the other hand, block structures are cheaper than frame ones and are often the best choice when installing plumbing at a capital wall.

Type of installation

The type of installation determines its location.

Standard. Installation for installation of toilet bowl, bidet or other plumbing product (with one connection point) at a flat wall. This is the most famous and popular installation method, suitable even for cramped bathrooms with little free space. Other options are mostly required in specific cases.

Under window. Installations designed for installation under the window or the object of curtain furniture. The main difference is the reduced height (up to 850 mm), which allows you to effectively fit such a design into a limited space.

Corner. Triangular installation (when viewed from above) designed for corner installation. This installation can be optimal both for aesthetic and practical reasons: in cramped conditions, the placement of plumbing in the corner helps to save space.

Double sided. Installations designed for installation of two products at once, on both sides. Such a construction can be installed in a partition and placed on it, for example, two urinals. There are also combined models designed for different types of plumbing: for example, on one side is mounted toilet bowl, on the other - the washbasin. Two-way installations can be useful both in public toilets and in home toilets.

— In line. Installations for installati...on of several plumbing products along the wall, in one line. In the home bathroom, this option can be useful, for example, for installing a toilet bowl and bidet. Installations for public latrines are also available, allowing the installation of several similar products such as urinals or washbasins. In any case, when installing several plumbing items in a row, a common linear system is often more convenient than several separate installations.

Water supply

The direction of flow water supply provided in the installation. There are many constructs that allow for multiple variants at once - for example, above and rearToilet. The toilet bowl is usually a hanging bowl. Provided for in the relevant models (cf. above). The advantage of this configuration is obvious: the «native» toilet by definition is optimal for installation, it does not need to be searched and selected separately. On the other hand, the complete bowl may not be suitable in shape or any features, so its characteristics do not hurt to clarify before buying.

Tank. Own tank, optimally sized and shaped for this installation. May have various special functions (cf. «Rinse»), they should be specified separately.

Bidet. The fixed module is initially equipped with a bidet. The main advantage of pre-installed bidet installations is the absence of the need to select the plumbing separately - in this case, the standard bidet is ideal for installation in terms of size, weight and functionality.

Flush button. Its own flush button is provided only in models originally equipped with a tank (see above). The flush is designed in accordance with the design. The design of this part corresponds to the functions of the tank: for example, in models with two-mode flush, the control key is usually also double. Recall that the flush button is located outside, so before you buy it is worth making sure that it...fits into the design of the bathroom.

Soundproof pad. A special gasket placed between the installation and the bulkhead covering it to muffle the sound - first of all the noise of the water collected in the drain tank.

Flush

Flush features provided in installation.

Dual mode flush. Possibility of flushing in two modes - standard and economical. In the first case, the entire drain tank (from 6 to 10 liters) is emptied, in the second only a certain portion of water (for example, 2 or 3 liters); each mode is usually responsible for a separate button. This feature allows more efficient and economical water consumption: the user can choose the mode of flushing depending on how much water is needed at any given moment.

Flush-stop mode. Mode that allows manually adjusting the amount of water. Control in such systems is carried out by a single button: the flush is turned on the first push of the button and turned off by a second push (or stops when the tank is completely emptied if the button was not pressed a second time). Such systems allow even more accurate dosing of water than two-mode (cf. the corresponding paragraph) - the user can determine when the bowl has been cleaned and the flush can be stopped.

Touchless flush. Flush systems working in a contactless way. They are often fully automatic and do not require any additional action from the user at all. So, one of the most popular options is an infrared sensor, which determines the presence of a person before installation; when a person leaves, the flushing system is turned on. Another option is a sensor that...records the presence of waste in the control area (for example, a liquid in the urinal). In any case, the main advantage of such systems is hygiene: the user does not need to touch the elements of the bathroom. This is especially important for common toilets. On the other hand, contactless automation is expensive.

Drain tank volume

The volume of the drain tank provided in the installation.

The larger volume, on the one hand, allows for better flushing, on the other - affects the water consumption and tank dimensions. In addition, with relatively small bowls, it does not require much water. Most installations use tanks of 6 to 10 liters - these indicators are considered optimal in the light of the described features.

Mount height

Mount height in this case is called the total height of the assembled installation, from the top to the bottom point. This is the minimum vertical space that is required to install the structure. Many models have adjustable legs to adjust the height within 100 - 200 mm; for such cases, the minimum height of the structure is specified.

Mount depth

Mount depth - the total depth (thickness) of the structure in the assembled form. This will determine the thickness of the decorative box and/or the depth of the niche in the wall - depending on how it is planned to mount the installation. In some models, the mounting depth can be adjusted.
