A mid-range soundbar presented on the market by the popular brand Yamaha, offering a compact 2.1 format solution. The model boasts a built-in subwoofer and support for smart home system integration. Thanks to its versatile design with wall-mounting capability, it fits well in configurations with TVs around 43 inches in size. The built-in 60W subwoofer with a 75mm driver allows forgoing a separate bass unit while delivering noticeable low-frequency depth in movies and music.
The Yamaha YAS-109 soundbar features four speakers (two HF and two MF) covering the frequency range from 170 to 23000 Hz, making the sound quite detailed. Signal processing is based on Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II decoders with support for virtual surround sound. Interfaces include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LAN, offering flexibility in connection to TV, streaming services including Spotify, and other sources. The presence of HDMI input and output (version 2.1), optical port, and external subwoofer output expands integration possibilities with home equipment.

To each their own The sound quality is decent, and having a built-in subwoofer is an advantage for me, especially if the room is small and there is no desire to add extra equipment. The stylish design and quality of materials are top-notch. Sound notifications that play every time the device is turned on cannot be disabled. They sound when the device is turned off with the remote, when electricity goes off and comes back, and "tada"- an unexpected notification sounds throughout the room.
