This case can serve as a good solution for building a compact and "nimble" computer with mini-ITX architecture. The system unit has an efficient cooling system. For ventilation, a powerful 200 mm fan is used, it is installed on the front panel. 2 more fans with a diameter of 80 mm can be mounted on the rear side, they must be ordered separately. The chassis for installing the motherboard is placed in a horizontal plane and is designed for a mini-ITX motherboard.

The Thermaltake Core V1 system unit is made of perforated sheet metal. One of the sidewalls has a viewing window. The sidewalls are completely interchangeable with each other, which allows you to place the case close to the wall, even on the right, even on the left side. The mounting location of the power supply is located at the base of the case, that is, under the motherboard, but the unit itself is ordered separately from the case. The control panel has power buttons (reboot and power on), several USB connectors in edition 3.0 and a pair of mini-Jack sockets. There is also an LED indicator. Inside the case it will be possible to place 1 hard drive 3.5 "and one solid-state drive 2.5". Both devices are placed in a vertical plane.

Neat cube with excellent air circulation

In terms of shape, the Thermaltake Core V1 is a neat, pure black cube that stands out thanks to the large grille that occupies the entire front panel. There are also fairly large air intakes on the sides of the case, so there are no problems with the circulation of the Thermaltake Core V1. The control panel with the power button, audio output and a pair of USB ports is located on the left panel. And on top of the lid is a fairly large acrylic window, which will come in handy for enthusiasts who love backlit components.

Can fit RTX 2060 SUPER

The design of the case is so successful that the Core V1 is one of the most popular cases in the company's range. Despite its compact dimensions and friendship exclusively with compact mini-ITX motherboards, this case is designed to install components of standard dimensions and is able to fit quite powerful hardware. The maximum length of the graphics card inside the case can reach 285 mm, and the two-cooler GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER and RTX 2060 SUPER fit this description. Considering the fact that standard power supplies of any power and processor coolers up to 140 mm high are placed in the case, on the basis of Thermaltake Core V1 you can assemble a compact and quite powerful system that can handle both games and professional software. The main thing is to install a couple of additional exhaust fans in the case.

Cold but not too quiet

The advantages of the model also include screwless mounts that simplify computer installation, a large drain fan and symmetrical side walls that can be swapped and placed close to the wall on the right or left side. Of the shortcomings of the Core V1, one can single out only plastic legs, which do not particularly save from vibration, and a limited set of bays for installing drives (a pair of 2.5 plus a pair of 3.5). Well, there are only two USB ports, but this is a common story for the Cube Case format. Everything else is great. With the only caveat that this is not the quietest case, cooling was a priority for the engineers.
