With SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements and a floating focus system, this lens delivers superb image quality at any shooting distance, from infinity to close-ups. Use in combination with Sigma EX 1.4x and 2x teleconverters (sold separately) allows you to increase the focal length of the lens, respectively, to 252 mm (autofocus is possible) or 360 mm (manual focus only is possible). When used with the Sigma EX 1.4x teleconverter, the autofocus function will automatically turn off if the distance to the subject is less than 1.2 metres.
