The microphone's dynamic capsule covers a frequency range from 50 Hz to 16 kHz and can handle sound pressure levels up to 128 dB. Sensitivity when connecting through an XLR connector reaches -55 dB, while the USB type C port provides up to -33 dB.

In the latter connection, 24-bit / 48 kHz recording on desktop and mobile platforms is also available. Shure MV7+ features the classic cardioid polar pattern, which captures sound from the front and isolates unwanted noise from other directions. The microphone's functionality is fully revealed with the proprietary Shure MOTIV Mix software, offering access to automatic gain adjustment, voice isolation, and various equalizer settings. In the ShurePlus MOTIV Mix program, you can mix up to five input channels and create custom monitor mixes. The touch panel on the model allows you to control gain, volume levels, monitor mix, and mute. Additionally, there is customizable backlighting.
