Inexpensive and quiet 3.5″ internal hard drive from the 2013 Seagate Pipeline HD family of SATA3 HDDs. This line includes 5 models from 320 GB to 2 TB, which are optimized for digital video streaming recording in home video recorders, multimedia centers and video surveillance systems based on NVRs. They are distinguished by low power consumption (less than 3.7 W in intensive use) and impressively quiet operation.
Remain operational in a wide temperature range from 0 to 75 degrees, which makes it possible to use with silent passive cooling systems. Special firmware ensures uninterrupted round-the-clock recording of video streams from up to 10 HD cameras. The 1TB Seagate Pipeline HD ST1000VM002 hard drive can capture up to 200 hours of HD video or 1000 hours of standard TV programming. Thanks to its near-silent operation (less than 19 dB), this model is perfect for home multimedia systems located in the living room or bedroom. Seagate Secure technology protects recorded content within a rights management system. Seagate SoftSonic engine technology ensures years of trouble-free operation. Purchased this crap on April 9, 2019. It died after 3 months, bought it from sven.dp.ua store, it spins up and stops after a second. Before that, I bought this model, it lasted longer (a year) and started failing with bad sectors at the beginning. price, speed...
