Flagship at the minimum
People are often wary of light flagships, because under the guise of a conditional “Galaxy S10, but a little simpler and cheaper”, we are often sold rather mediocre handsets with a premium for a well-known name. Moreover, apart from the name, they have little in common with the progenitors. But this is not the case for the new Galaxy Note10 Lite.
Full support for the branded S Pen stylus
This is a really light version of the Galaxy Note10, which has retained almost all the charms of its older brother. First of all, we are talking about full support for the stylus that everyone loved so much in Note 10. Secondly, about the rather powerful flagship hardware (Exynos 9810, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory + microSD slot), excellent, although not so cool Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels. The camera also remained triple, but lost some quality. However, this is still an excellent camera phone, although not the most top-end one. As a gift to audiophiles and opponents of wireless headphones, Samsung unexpectedly returned the audio jack.
New design, old dimensions
At the same time, the design of the “baby” has noticeably changed, the case has lost the angularity of Note 10, but the frames on the sides have become a little more noticeable. The Note 10 didn't seem to have them at all. At the same time, wireless charging was cut, cool stereo speakers were replaced with mediocre mono, the case was deprived of protection from dust and moisture, and high-quality composite material is used instead of a glass back cover. It's interesting that it ends up being stronger. In terms of additional features, we have an almost complete set: fast charging, NFC, modern communication modules, an excellent front camera, a capacious 4500 mAh battery with fast charging (but not wireless) and a fairly fast fingerprint scanner right on the screen.
A question of price
It seems to us that the question to buy or not will largely depend on the general condition of the price of Samsung flagships. For example, the regular Galaxy S10 can now be bought for only $80 more. Then forget about the stylus. The Galaxy Note10 has recently gone up in price and will now cost $300 more. The ninth generation Galaxy can generally be found at a bargain price, but it did not turn out very well.
