An excellent microphone for streaming and just for playing cooperatively with friends. Before buying it, I had an ordinary cheap microphone bought on Ali and of course it was enough for communication, but the sound quality left much to be desired. I also bought this device on Ali, since local prices are often overpriced, and there its price is around 80 bucks. I also thought about taking the much-praised Blue Yeti, but its price tag is just outrageous. After I received this microphone, I did not regret buying it a bit. The sound is simply gorgeous, purest, as if from the studio. Although my room is not noisy, but with this microphone, my teammates stopped complaining at all that they can’t hear me well and external noise, on the contrary, they are a little jealous of my new thing. Of the pleasant pluses, you don’t need anything at all to set up the microphone, just connect it via USB and use it to your health. I am more than satisfied with this microphone and I definitely won’t change it in the next couple of years. I'll just buy a popfilter and that's it. The American company Samson Technologies has been producing consumer and professional audio equipment since 1980 and is one of the industry leaders. The C01U Pro microphone is a professional model for recording vocals and speech, priced at approximately $160.
Reliability in Everything
The compact device measuring 180x54x54 mm weighs almost half a kilogram, thanks to its metal cast construction. It comes with a tripod, which is quite stable, but has one downside — it takes up a lot of space on the table.
The kit also includes a swivel holder, allowing you to position the microphone as needed. The USB cable is not too long (1.5 m), but it is detachable, so if the length isn't suitable, it can be replaced.
The microphone boasts a shock-resistant body and a headphone output for zero-latency monitoring. However, there is no headphone volume control function or microphone mute button on the body. Everything has to be done from the connected device.
Crystal-clear Sound
The condenser microphone is part of the studio series. Its 19-millimeter diaphragm provides natural warmth and detail to vocal and instrumental characteristics, and the super-cardioid polar pattern minimizes surrounding noise. The sound is loud, smooth, and clear. To minimize noise in professional work, you can download special noise reduction software Sound Deck, but you will have to pay extra for it.
The model works on a Plug-and-play principle, does not require driver installation when connecting to a PC, and supports compatibility with most recording software.
The SAMSON C01U Pro has all the advantages of a professional model, although it is not without its drawbacks. More attention has clearly been paid to recording quality here than to ergonomics, which, however, is reflected in the price. For such a device, it is more than affordable.
