Large grinder with soft start and rotary handle

The Ryobi EAG2000RS grinder is designed for grinding and cutting with large discs with a diameter of 230 mm. Painted in the original shade of green that is characteristic of all Ryobi instruments, there is a 2000 W electric motor under the body. The current to the motor is supplied through the limiter, which ensures smooth (but at the same time frisky) acceleration of the disk. Therefore, when you press the start button, there are no jerks, and the tool does not try to escape from your hands. The rear handle, richly covered with rubberized pads, has an LED built into it - it serves as an indicator that shows that the grinder is plugged into the outlet.

Versatility and adaptability

An interesting feature of this angle grinder is its ability to "adjust" to the user, depending on what kind of work he is doing. The fact is that the rear handle is not fixed to the body, but can be rotated 90 ° to the left and right from the central position. In combination with a three-position additional handle (it can be screwed into the gearbox housing from any side: left, right or top), this makes it possible to comfortably hold the tool in any position: vertically (for example, when sawing metal or stone) or horizontally (for example, when grinding time for large flat surfaces). Another “attraction” of the Ryobi EAG2000RS grinder is the wrench for changing discs built into the side handle. Thus, it is always at hand, and you do not need to tape it to the power cable so as not to lose it.

There are many pluses, but there are also minuses

Among other advantages, it is necessary to mention the presence in the kit of a plastic case designed for storing and carrying the tool with accessories and supplies. But what is not happy is the price. It’s not that big, but it still seems a little overpriced, because Ryobi grinders are not considered professional tools, and this angle grinder costs the same as they ask for identical Bosch, Makita and other reputable brands.
