Officially licensed wired controller for Nintendo Switch by PowerA, one of the largest accessory manufacturers collaborating with Nintendo for over twenty years. The button layout mimics the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller with asymmetric stick placement but costs about half as much, making it a convenient option either as a second gamepad for multiplayer or as a primary controller for those who don't require wireless connectivity.

The Enhanced version stands out with two programmable rear Advanced Gaming Buttons, which can be customized during gameplay without entering the system menus — simply press the Program button on the back and assign the desired function. The sticks feature built-in anti-friction rings, reducing friction and prolonging lifespan under intense use. There is a 3.5mm jack at the bottom edge for connecting a stereo headset.

The PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Nintendo Switch connects via a detachable 3-meter USB cable with a Velcro strap for neat storage, powered by the USB port of the dock. It only works in docked mode while the console is in the dock. Keep in mind that the controller does not support HD Rumble, infrared sensor, gyroscope, and NFC for Amiibo reading — these functions are only available on the original Joy-Con and Pro Controller.
