The futuristic Omron EVOLV blood pressure monitor turned out to be unlike the grey mass of the same type of peers. It stands out against their background with an unusual form factor, in which the device itself and the cuff on the shoulder are one.

One whole

The layout with the monitor directly on the cuff is good because the device does not contain any tubes and wires. And when folded, it takes up very little space and easily fits into the everyday ammunition of a city dweller. The Omron EVOLV cuff can be worn on the upper arm in any position around the arm. In case of its incorrect fixation, the corresponding indication is displayed on the screen of the tonometer.

Smartphone pairing

The model measures blood pressure in a wide range from 40 to 260 mm Hg. Art. In parallel, it monitors the heart rate and detects heart rhythm disturbances. Measurement results are displayed on the screen of the device and can be transferred to a paired smartphone via Bluetooth. The Omron Connect mobile app stores the last 100 blood pressure readings linked to the date and time of day. The dynamics of changes in blood pressure can be shared with your doctor.

Design and technology

To operate the tonometer, you will need a set of four "little" batteries. The universal cuff of the device with a coverage of 22-42 cm will fit the user audience with medium and large shoulder sizes. Only the high cost of the model does not please. However, for the design and advanced technologies on guard of health, you just have to pay with a minted coin.
