The flashlight is powered by 18V LXT Li-Ion batteries. Battery and charger are not included.

Makita branded flashlight in the form factor of a table lamp. Model DEADML 801 creates a diffused light, which is recommended for illuminating a workbench, tool corner, repair area, etc. The basis of the flashlight is the battery platform. The device can be equipped with a proprietary 14.4 or 18 V battery. The Makita DEADML 801 flashlight has a light head with a rotating mechanism.

The direction of the backlight can be adjusted vertically and horizontally. On the back of the spotlight there is a hook that rotates freely around its axis 360°. The luminous flux is generated by 12 LED bulbs. In economy mode, only 6 diodes work. With a proprietary battery pack of 18 V and 5 Ah, the battery life of the backlight (50% brightness) reaches 40 hours! The folding design allows you to close the light head, which protects the lamp from various damages during storage and transportation. The illuminator has a maximum brightness of 240 lm. Additionally, a 120 lm mode is available (6 LEDs out of 12). To power the flashlight, a proprietary interchangeable Makita battery is used, which can be used on any other cordless tool of this brand.
