It is not in vain that the Pro prefix appears in the name of the Logitech Swiss webcam — the model announced in 2012 is still one of the best solutions among representatives of its class, offering users high quality picture and sound.

Quality

The Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 records video at a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels using the H.264 codec. The recording speed reaches 30 fps, and the bit rate is 2 Mb/s. The logo of the well-known brand Carl Zeiss, whose optics are used in the design of the model, also hints at the serious hardware of the camera. At the same time, focus is put on the shoulders of a 20-position autofocus, capable of focus on the subject from a distance of 10 cm.

Ergonomic mount

Thanks to the presence of a curved leg, the camera is easily attached to a monitor or laptop display of various thicknesses. In addition, the mount has a socket for mounting the model on a tripod, which allows you to use it as a full-fledged video camera. Fortunately, the quality of image recording and stereo sound is practically unremarkable. Some complaints can only be made when shooting in poor lighting conditions — the image turns out to be grainy.

High level

Among the interesting "chips" of the model, the face tracking function using digital zoom stands out. However it works only in low resolution (640x480 pixels). In all other cases, you can shoot in FullHD, coupled with which excellent video detail and rich colour reproduction are achieved. The difference between solutions embedded in a laptop (in a positive sense) will be visible to the naked eye.

Reference. The autofocus system is responsible for automatically pointing the camera to optimal sharpness. This option is good because it practically does not require any actions from the user to obtain a high-quality image.
