One of the low-cost models in the Linksys E-Series family produced by craftsmen from Cisco. It has a predominantly standard set of features, it can be a good solution for a home or small office. First of all, we highlight the support of the 802.11n standard, which provides the possibility of wireless data transmission at speeds up to 300 Mbps, as well as the presence of 2 built-in antennas for more stable reception over long distances. The manufacturer also took care of the switch for 4 LAN ports. All this is wrapped up in a compact and attractive body.

works stably. does not heat up (just cold) does not look shabby (modern) no antenna 1. Very complicated to set up. 2. There are no setup booklets included. 3. The disc and booklets in the set (for show) will not help you. 4. No wall mount included. 5. The glossy strip gets dirty easily. Removed the plastic film, and within a few hours, it was covered in small scratches (who knows where they came from). 6. The blue cable included spoils the appearance. 7. Large in size. 8. Spent an hour on the setup. |
After using two D-Link DIR-320 and DIR-615 routers, I wanted a device that actually works and doesn’t just "pretend to work." I chose this model as an experiment (I heard CISCO is really good, but I was put off by their "Mercedes-like" prices) and then stumbled upon the E1200 in a store. I was surprised by the low price. I compared the specs and was satisfied with everything. I decided to give it a try (if it didn’t meet expectations, it wouldn’t be a big waste/cost). Not only did it MEET, it FULLY MET my expectations! A great router, easy software installation (+ it automatically went to its support website and suggested updating to the latest official firmware!), works like a TANK (network doesn’t drop, downloads at 10MB/s (don’t confuse with megabits) + while still distributing Wi-Fi, so I can chat on Skype (video). I connected my SONY PS3 to it in online shooter mode - 3 hours of gaming without problems (while in this mode, the DIR-615 "crashed" after 5-6 minutes)! It has "only" 2 built-in antennas, but it's more than enough for a 90 sq. m. apartment! If you don’t need 1 Gbit ports, and the second Wi-Fi band (just keep in mind that to have genuine dual bands you need CISCO models with 2 radio modules, starting from E3500 and prices from €43+), and don’t want "lots and lots of antennas," my opinion is: you shouldn’t overpay for more expensive models. I highly recommend this to everyone! Ease of software installation; Stability; Price; Appearance; Didn't find... |
After two TP-Links of the same model which had different issues, the E1200 is a lifesaver, with it there are absolutely no problems, almost to the point of being boring. Laconic design High-quality assembly Work without complaints hard to find |

Set it up, toss it somewhere in the closet, and forget about it. (And it's better not to touch it at all)
