Hecate G33BT (EDF700011)

Edifier Hecate G33BT is an unusual device for Edifier that tries to bridge the gap between traditional wired headphones for listening to music and wireless gaming headsets that support virtual multi-channel audio. The device features 40mm NdFeB dynamic drivers with PET diaphragm, which provide accurate and rich sound across the entire frequency spectrum (20 - 20,000 Hz). Considering the company's extensive experience in developing “musical” computer speakers and headphones, it is not surprising that the G33BT added support for an alternative Music mode, which makes the speakers sound more neutral and balanced than in the Game mode.

Thanks to a detachable audio cable with a 3.5 mm mini-jack, the device can work not only with PCs, laptops and consoles, but also with various mobile devices, including smartphones, players and tablets. Another interesting feature is the use of a wireless Bluetooth chip from PixArt, which minimizes latency in wireless audio transmission. In particular, the manufacturer promises an input lag of no more than 60 ms.

Unlike most competitors in the mid-price segment, both earcups of the headset are decorated with small RGB panels with eight different backlight modes. With the backlight turned off, the headphones' battery life can reach 48 hours. With the illumination turned on, you can count on 24 hours of operation. It will take 2 hours to fully charge a dead battery. The durable and practical design of the headband and cups with eco-leather ear pads easily adapts to the anatomical features of the user, minimizing pressure at the points of contact between the headphones and the head. A microphone on a flexible boom with digital noise reduction makes it possible for high-quality communication with teammates. The microphone can be turned off or completely detached, turning the device into classic on-ear headphones.
