The Striker line of echo sounders from Garmin was released in 2016. It has 5 models, the youngest of which is the Garmin Striker 4.
Intuitive controls
The echo sounder is very easy to use — the menu items and keys on the body of the device are located exactly at the positions where they are expected to be seen by the user's eyes. All functions are controlled intuitively. The 3.5-inch colour display allows you to display the scanned image of the reservoir both in full screen and in two parts. This feature is useful when performing a broadband CHIRP scan or when you want to display the echogram along with your current location.
Navigation features
The device has the simplest navigational functions: recording the trajectory of movement, indicating the current course, marking waypoints, determining the current location and speed of movement. A waypoint can be marked when viewing the echogram "backdating". But the echo sounder does not support the installation of a separate card on its board.
Dual Frequency Scan
The dual-frequency sonar transducer is mounted on the transom of the boat. Broadband scanning is carried out at frequencies of 77/200 kHz, which allows you to see schools of fish, bottom vegetation, bottom topography and other characteristics of the reservoir. And having bought in addition to the device a special sensor Garmin GT8HW-IF (with a float for lowering into the hole), the echo sounder can also be used for winter fishing. The flasher function will help you see the type of bottom, the depth of the bait and fish, as well as the direction of movement of prey.
Nutrition
The echo sounder is powered by a voltage of 10-20 V. The power cable is included in the package, but the battery will have to be purchased separately.
