Compact instant print camera with body dimensions of 104x122x67 mm and a weight of about 300 g. The model is available in stores in a variety of bright colors. Its lens has an equivalent focal length of 60 mm, and the camera focuses from a minimum distance of 30 cm. The camera is turned on by rotating the lens. The user has access to both standard shooting mode and close-up mode. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 12 features an automatic exposure correction system and a built-in flash for shooting in low-light conditions.

A small mirror on the lens frame assists with framing in selfie mode. Typically, the composition of the shot is intended to be done through the viewfinder window.
