Powerful professional miter saw with broaching, XPS light and functional die-cast aluminium turntable. The DeWALT DWS780 miter saw will perfectly cope with sawing wood and materials based on it (plywood, chipboard, OSB, laminated chipboard and other laminates). Can be used for fast cutting of plastics and polymer composites. Equipped with a powerful and dustproof commutator motor (1675 W) that spins a large saw blade with a diameter of 305 mm to a speed of 1900 to 3800 rpm. The cutting depth reaches 112 mm. The engine has a soft start system and an effective brake, which significantly reduces the run-out time. It is possible to connect a dust collector or connect a specialized vacuum cleaner.

The laser guide is ineffective in bright light and only shows the line when the saw is fully lowered. The absence of table extenders limits its usability for shorter cuts, and the clamp design is criticized for lacking a quick release. The cost is clearly too high. The quality is at the level of budget Jets or Hummers. As a last resort, Mac Alisterov. Which cost 18-22 thousand. And, in principle, no worse. Unless the brand is lagging behind. The angles are not bad, but not ideal. Relatively light weight for trimming at 305 mm. There is a 1 mm dip on the bed. Something needs to be placed underneath for correct leveling. It's very hard to turn. The turn is not on a bearing but on a plastic rim (This is just crazy). It wears out, which leads to an increase in the dip height. For professional work, it needs to be redone in metal. Dust removal is mediocre even with a powerful vacuum cleaner. Many movements or adjustments require the use of wrenches. This is already the stone age. The same Metabo or Makita made everything on convenient levers. It's more suitable for carpenters or door installers. Generally, for those with long parts and who don’t care about a couple of millimeters or degrees either way. Certainly not for cabinetmakers, let alone furniture makers. A separate atrocity is the clamp. Not only stone age. I'd like to rip the hands off whoever designed it like that. There’s no quick release. You have to turn it back and forth. (( Table extenders are absent. For this kind of money. That is, you can cut something longer than 1 mm, or within 50 cm. Cutting something shorter than 40 cm is either difficult or impossible due to the bed's dip. It results in a skew. The praised laser guide is as disappointing as an ordinary laser. It shows the line only when you fully lower the saw onto the part. And in the raised state, you won't see this shadow. It just blurs. In bright light, you can also forget about it. One wonders why the hell is there a need for it. When the blade is down on the part, it's clear enough where the cut will be. Moreover, it’s more accurate along the edge of the tooth.
