SIM card slot

The 2024 debutant from the Cudy brand is a router with 4G LTE support. The model has a slot for SIM cards, so it can also “distribute” mobile Internet. Support for the Cat.4 standard is declared here, which provides input and output speeds of up to 150 and 50 Mbit/s, respectively. And due to MU-MIMO technology, at least 30 devices can simultaneously be online without signal delays.

All-weather performance

The router complies with the IP65 class, so it is not afraid of rain and dust, and can be used outdoors. In addition, it has protection against thunderstorms and is ready for low temperatures. The model operates without speed loss at temperatures down to -20 °C, and is generally capable of transmitting data "over the air" even when the thermometer drops to -40 °C. It also has a passive PoE input for power supply and data transmission with one wire and a mounting kit for fixing the case to a wall or pipe.

Good range and other features

Thanks to antennas and a 20 dBm transmitter, the range indoors should reach 30 meters, and outdoors - up to 170 m (in open areas). Beamforming technology will help to direct the signal directly to client devices. In addition, the router is capable of operating in Mesh mode - in tandem with other branded network equipment.

The disadvantages of the dual-band model include a modest speed in 5 GHz networks - up to 867 Mbit/s and the presence of LAN with a throughput of 100 Mbit/s. If these are not critical points for you, then the Cudy LT500 Outdoor is an interesting outdoor router with a SIM card slot.
