Shock-resistant and waterproof wristwatches from the special Casio G-Shock series. They feature an aggressive, robust design that is partially due to their protective functionality. Positioned by the manufacturer as a mid-range product, these watches are intended for athletes, tourists, and users leading an active lifestyle. The main advantage of the model is undoubtedly its impressive resistance to impact loads and complete waterproofing.
The Casio GA-100-1A1ER wristwatch can withstand a drop from a height of 10 meters and handle deep diving with scuba gear. The large polymer case is equipped with a strong yet flexible rubber strap with a reliable clasp. Despite its relatively large size, the watch is lightweight (70 g) and comfortable to wear. The combined dial (hands + transflective LCD elements) is equipped with a bright and energy-efficient LED backlight with afterglow function. Features include an alarm, calendar, timer, and stopwatch with a 0.001-second precision. The dial is protected by a sturdy mineral glass, resilient to external pressure up to 20 atm. The key electronic components of Japanese production ensure high accuracy. A lithium battery, type CR1220, is designed for 2 years of full operation with occasional use of the backlight.

As an experienced user of many G-Shock series, I recommend: in 2016, a model based on the same GA-700 was released, and this problem has already been resolved. The case is identical, a big "+" is that the backlight button has been moved to the front part of the case as a separate functional element (much more convenient). The new design of the buttons and their protective rims facilitates a pleasant and easy press! The backlight also consists of one diode, BUT with the help of a luminous coating on the hour markers, full illumination of the entire dial is ensured. The price is the same!!! These are very durable and reliable watches. I've been wearing G-Shock for 10 years and have 40 different pieces! Neither American Timex nor Finnish Suunto, considered the best sports watches, can compare to Casio G-Shock, Protrek, or Pathfinder in my experience. There are drawbacks everywhere, the key is to choose your watches wisely and patiently. It's a great model, I recommend it to everyone! The watch is not cheap, but very good quality. So far very pleased. We'll see how things will go with them in the future. So far, the impression is only the best. Before purchasing, I read a lot of reviews - there were both positive and negative among them. For example, I often came across the opinion that these watches were simply not worth that kind of money. But the decisive factor was the ability to hold them in your hands and try them on (before that I only chose them via the Internet). The watch immediately captivated me - it was massive, matte black, and solid. In a word, I immediately decided that they suited me. I haven't been using them for very long. I handle them with care since they are new. Therefore, I cannot yet say that they survived both fire and water. But the impression is still the best. It took some time to customize them, but it was necessary to do it. They look great on the hand. So far, my opinion is that they still look like money that was not invested in them.
