Focus:
Blink detection technology uses face detection to detect closed eyes in any of the posing, which gives the user the opportunity to duplicate the frame. During viewing, a frame appears on the face of a person with their eyes closed, and a Blink icon is displayed on the right side of the LCD screen.
Face detection technology makes it easy to take great pictures of people. This advanced system quickly and accurately detects faces in the frame and optimizes camera settings for unrivaled image quality. Up to 35 faces can be recognized in a single frame, so this feature is useful for taking group and portrait shots.
Upload to YouTube
The IXUS 130 has a built-in YouTube upload function using the included CameraWindow app. Users can register and upload videos to the Internet directly from the camera via a computer.
Smart Shutter lets you take creative control of your shots using face detection technology. The user can set the camera to move the shutter when you smile or wink. Equipped with the FaceSelf-Timer, the IXUS 130 makes it easy to capture high-quality self-portraits even when no assistant is around.
The Optical Image Stabilizer prevents image blur by greatly compensating for camera shake. In situations where the image is most likely to be blurred due to camera shake, such as when the light is low or when shooting at high magnification, the Optical Image Stabilizer helps keep shots sharp by using tiny gyro sensors that detect device movements caused by hand shake. These signals are processed by an image stabilizer chip, which distinguishes vibrations caused by hand shake from intentional camera movement. They are then passed to the image stabilizer unit, which shifts the elements of the lens to correct light rays and eliminate unwanted effects caused by shaking.
Smart Shutter mode uses face detection technology to make group shots and self-portraits easier and more comfortable. In addition to the self-timer with the detection of a new face in the frame (FaceSelf-Timer), two additional modes are available.
