It boasts an IP66 rating for incredible ruggedness when installed and is the more compact of the Marine Series loudspeakers which fits into a depth of 3.5" with a cut-out of 7.8".The IP66 rat... moreing means that this speaker is capable of surviving the extremes of temperature salt spray and hosing down that occurs in a marine environment. The metal grille and fixings are marine-grade stainless steel.
