Wooden swings

 

— pleasant enough in appearance and to the touch, but not very practical material: in terms of resistance to moisture and other adverse factors, wood is inferior even to plastic, not to mention metal. This (as well as relatively low strength) can be corrected by special processing, as well as the use of a material of great thickness, but this is not very convenient in this case. Therefore, few models are made entirely of wood, more often it is usually a wooden seat and armrests on a base made of another material, most often metal (see the relevant paragraph).
