Model overview based on user reviews
The Makita BO3710 is a reliable and durable vibratory grinder, praised for its minimal vibration and noise, making it comfortable to use without ear protection. It is ideal for finishing wooden surfaces, offering high performance and remaining cool during operation. The grinder features a dust collector connection, although the disposable dust bags are noted as inconvenient. Its ergonomic design includes well-positioned, rubberized handles, reducing felt vibrations. While the power cord is short, requiring an extension for some tasks, the overall build quality and maintainability make it a top choice for workshop use. The model does not include RPM preset, unlike its counterpart, the BO3711. Despite minor drawbacks, it remains a highly recommended tool for both home and professional use.

great model, love it

i have had this vibration for more than 10 years, only the model is vo3700. According to all data, they are similar. Not a killable thing, I changed only the sole. I sanded mostly wood. The machine is very cool, the vibration and noise are minimal, the performance is very high, it practically does not heat up. I advise you to buy and do not hesitate.

Ageless Veteran

It is advisable to use the Makita BO3710 grinder for finishing wooden surfaces. It is suitable for sanding wood and putty surfaces or for intercoating lacquer. No less successfully, the tool will cope with the processing of planks and rails, ends and ribs. But the device is reluctant to work with coarse-grained abrasives, so rough roughing is not its profile (for such tasks, there are more powerful models with 300-600 W motors among Makita orbital grinders).

Silence in the workshop

Ergonomics of the tool is excellent. The device is exceptionally quiet (it's one of the few grinders that you can safely do without ear protectors). The handles are well positioned and rubberized exactly where your hands touch them. Therefore, vibrations are practically not felt. The fastening of the emery is realized with the help of clips. You can use any skin, cutting the paper to size (228x93 mm). The kit includes a perforation plate (the holes on the sanding sheets must be made so that the dust collects in the dust container and does not remain on the workpiece).

However the regular filter handles with dust rather mediocrely, and the thin dust collector pipe does not allow connecting a vacuum cleaner without an adapter (which is not included in the kit). The cord also causes complaints. It is short (only 2 m), so you can’t reach the ceiling without an extension cord.

The perfect grinder for the workshop

The Makita BO3710 grinder is the best option in terms of price and quality ratio. It has been in the top of sales for many years due to its reliable design, high-quality assembly and maintainability. In any region of the country, you can get spare parts, accessories and interchangeable soles for it. Therefore, those who choose a vibratory grinder for work around the house or in the workshop should take a closer look at this model.

By the way, the machine has “twin sisters”: Makita BO3711 (it differs only in the presence of one additional important function — speed control) and the “red” Makita M9203, which costs a little less due to design features that do not affect the quality of processing.
