Pearl chains
Pearl
— initially, pearls are a material of natural origin, produced by some types of mollusks: when a grain of sand or another foreign body enters the shell, it is overgrown with layers of mother-of-pearl, forming a pearl of a round or close to round shape. This material is considered mostly "feminine". The colour of pearls can be any, however, white or pink, with mother-of-pearl tints, is considered the “classic of the genre”. Natural pearls were very expensive for some time, but now this stone is produced industrially, thanks to which modern pearl products are quite affordable even for people with an average income. At the same time, chains with such "inserts" are often beads of 12 – 25 pearls connected by the chain itself.Artificial pearls are also produced: they are cheaper than natural ones, and outwardly they can practically have no differences. At the same time, such material is considered less prestigious and is mainly used for inexpensive jewelry.
