Bicycle baskets

— a device similar in purpose to a boot and used to transport goods. However, the basket has noticeable differences from the classic boot (see the relevant paragraph) both in design and in use. Firstly, it is usually mounted in front, on the steering wheel (more precisely, on the frame), although there are also models with a rear installation. Secondly, the basket has walls, thanks to which rather large items can be transported in it without securing them additionally. Thirdly, such devices are often made quick-release and equipped with handles, which allows them to be used as ordinary household baskets. On the other hand, bike baskets are bulkier, making them less suitable for road and mountain bikes; such accessories are designed mainly for city cars.
