Modern racquets can differ markedly in the materials used (steel, aluminium, carbon fibre, etc.) and in performance (weight, balance, rigidity, etc.). However, these nuances are important mainly for professional players; detailed recommendations on the choice of specific parameters can be found in special sources. For amateur and recreational games, it is easiest to choose a racquet according to the price category — the overall quality and durability directly depend on the price.

Note that racquets are standardly sold one at a time; if you need several such racquets at once, you might want to pay attention to sets (see the relevant paragraph). A racquet is often supplied with a case, but this point should be clarified separately.
