Differential automaton

— automatic protective devices that combine the capabilities of circuit breakers and RCDs (see relevant paragraphs). Simply put, the difavtomat provides protection “against everything” — both from overloads / short circuits, and from failures accompanied by leakage currents. Thus, in order to provide comprehensive protection, you can not buy an automatic machine and an RCD separately, but get by with one difavtomat. This is especially useful in cases where there is not enough space in the shield and two separate devices simply do not fit there. On the other hand, in terms of performance, universal difautomats lose to specialized devices. And if one of the characteristics suddenly ceases to suit the owner, the entire difavtomat will have to be changed, which will cost more than replacing a separate circuit breaker or RCD.
