Pile car floor mats
With pile
— the presence of pile on the surface of the rug; the rug itself, usually, is made of textiles (see "Material").This feature can be found both in floor mats and in products for the boot. The first option is the most popular, since textile rugs are generally produced mainly for salons. The pile in such rugs, in addition to a decorative role, also performs a very practical function: it additionally retains small dirt and hides them “inside”, preventing debris from sticking to your feet again. Such products retain a neat appearance longer; on the other hand, they are also more demanding on cleaning than lint-free textile mats.
In boot mats, the pile has a slightly different function: it is usually made short, and the surface itself is more pleasant to the touch than smooth.
