Leather flasks

 

— leather as a material for the vessel is used exclusively in wineskins (see "Type"). In addition to softness, this material stands out, on the one hand, for its good strength and attractive appearance (and it can be pleasant to the touch); on the other hand, it is not cheap, despite the fact that it has no special advantages over other materials. As a result, leather is used mainly as a tribute to tradition, and not for practical reasons.
