Hammers with brass head
— the brass striker provides the hammer with softness of impact; such a tool is often used when assembling components and mechanisms made of steel. Brass has a lower hardness than steel, for this reason the striker will not leave significant damage on the critical surfaces of the steel structure. Such a hammer can be trusted to press the bearings onto the shaft. Additionally, brass-faced hammers do not spark when hitting harder materials.
