Rubber hammers

Rubber

— a variant found mainly in mallets and individual models of straightening hammers (see "Type"). Due to its elasticity and relative softness, this material provides a fairly gentle impact, which is critical in some jobs. Also note that different colours of rubber can be used in hammers: black is harder and more resistant to chemicals, while relatively soft white provides a more economical impact and does not leave marks. In some tools, both types of rubber can be provided at once, on different sides of the head.
