The Bosch Serie 4 freestanding dishwasher range occupies the mid-price segment and is the next step after Serie 2 — with significant improvements in drying, loading flexibility, and control. It is aimed at families who use a dishwasher daily and seek more convenience and efficiency without paying extra for flagship technologies.

The fundamental difference from Serie 2 is the drying system. Instead of simple condensation drying, Serie 4 is equipped with EfficientDry or PerfectDry technology depending on the specific model. EfficientDry automatically opens the door at the end of the cycle, releasing steam and significantly accelerating the evaporation of moisture from the dishes. PerfectDry uses the natural mineral zeolite, which absorbs moisture and releases heat, ensuring excellent drying even for plastic containers.

The second noticeable improvement is the loading system. The capacity is 13 – 14 place settings. All Serie 4 models are equipped with VarioDrawer — a retractable third level for cutlery and small kitchen tools, freeing up the lower basket for larger dishes. VarioFlex baskets with adjustable dividers, foldable holders, and glass shelves allow flexible adaptation of the internal space for specific loads. The upper basket is height-adjustable in three positions with the Rackmatic system. Six programs are available: in addition to standard intensive, Eco, glass, and quick programs, there is an Auto 45–65°C program — the machine independently determines the degree of soiling through sensors and selects the optimum temperature and cycle duration.

General features include an EcoSilence Drive inverter motor with low noise levels, ActiveWater technology for optimizing water consumption, AquaStop leak protection, and synchronization with the Home Connect mobile app supporting Amazon Alexa and Google Home for remote control.
