Analogue video surveillance kits

 

— in accordance with the name, all components of such a kit — both the recorder and the cameras — are designed to work with an analogue video signal. However, this does not mean that this technique is completely analogue — we are talking only about the method of transmitting video from cameras to the recorder. The recorders themselves, usually, are quite advanced devices with digital interfaces like HDMI and USB (see "Connection ports").

The capabilities of analogue sets are generally more modest than those of digital ones, but this is quite enough for most cases, and such equipment costs much less.
