Hanging rattan chairs

 

— initially, rattan is a type of wicker, popular in furniture production. However, in hanging furniture, it is mainly not natural, but artificial rattan that is used — an imitation based on plastic fibre. Such material is more resistant to moisture and ultraviolet, outwardly practically does not differ from natural vines, but is much cheaper. From artificial rattan, the bases are made in hanging chairs (see "Type"); in this way, inexpensive and practical furniture is obtained, very similar to natural wicker.
