Grinding and polishing machines

 

— machines that allow two options for use — as a grinder (see the relevant paragraph) and as a polisher (for finishing surfaces and giving them shine). Both sharpening and polishing are carried out using a rotating disk (the difference lies only in the type of surface of such a disk); due to this, it is possible to combine these functions in one unit. And purely polishing machines, for a number of reasons, did not receive much popularity. At the same time, polishing works have their own specifics, so only machines for which such use is expressly claimed can be used for them. It should be noted that aggregates of this type are generally more “delicate” and less performant than purely grinding ones, they are less suitable for rough work and high loads.
