— connection via RJ-45 connector via network cable of Ethernet type (“twisted pair”).This connection format is convenient because the call panel can be connected to a local computer network — and this gives several advantages at once. Firstly, the ability to access the panel can be configured on any computer or gadget within the network. Secondly, many of these models can work without intercoms and other special equipment — through an application on a computer / gadget. Thirdly, laying a network cable from the panel to the router / switch is often easier than organizing an analogue connection. Fourthly, the number of panels and other special equipment within the "local area" can be almost anything — it is quite possible to combine, for example, all the call panels of an apartment building or a large office centre into one network. And if you wish, you can even set up access to the call panel via the Internet, which will make it possible to communicate with visitors and manage access to the premises, even when you are not on site.
Also note that some models from this category also support Wi-Fi wireless technology; see the relevant paragraph for more details.
