Softbox umbrella

— umbrellas similar in design to photographic softboxes and also designed to provide diffused light. They have a closed design: a flash lamp is placed inside the dome, after which the inner volume of the dome is tightened with a soft partition. By design, they can be both reflective and translucent (see the relevant paragraphs): in the first case, the dome plays the role of a reflector, and the partition — a diffuser, in the second — vice versa.

One of the advantages of such devices over classic softboxes is the convenience of storage and transportation: umbrellas fold compactly and easily unfold.
