Meat hammers
Meat hammers
— kitchen hammers designed for beating meat and some other products (for example, octopus); are used, in particular, when cooking chops and steaks.Beating softens the fibers and makes the product more delicate; it is especially desirable if the feedstock is hard. These hammers (also known as bushhammers) come in a variety of designs, but are most commonly equipped with a double-sided striker, with teeth of different sizes on each side. Larger teeth are designed for preliminary rough processing of thick and hard pieces of meat, smaller ones — for "finishing" processing, as well as for soft and thin pieces that do not require hard action.
