Receipt and label printers with LAN connectivity
LAN
— wired connection to computer networks through the connector of the same name. This connection allows you to use the printer as a network device — that is, to access it from all computers and other network equipment operating on the same local network. This feature is convenient primarily in cases where one printer has to be used by several users at once. Another application is when the printer and the control device are at a great distance, where USB or RS-232 communication becomes impossible: the network cable can be quite long without compromising the quality of communication. However, pulling a wire is not as convenient as using a wireless Wi-Fi connection (see the relevant paragraph); on the other hand, a wired connection is cheaper, and the connection is somewhat more reliable.
