Сases usually mean accessories that are put directly on the body of the power bank and are constantly on it — including during use. The traditional material for such accessories is silicone: it is soft and elastic, does not slip in the hands, is not afraid of high and low temperatures, moisture and other adverse factors; in addition, this material can be given any colour and any pattern can be applied to it. So the covers not only perform a protective function, but also allow you to design the device to your liking; sometimes it makes quite a practical sense — for example, bright colours reduce the likelihood of losing a power bank in the grass during a trip. However note that a silicone case usually does not provide full impact resistance or “immunity” to sharp objects; however, anyway, it reduces the likelihood of damage and contributes to a longer service life.

As for compatibility, modern power banks are very diverse in size and shape. So cases for such devices are usually produced for specific models (or series of models) of a certain manufacturer.
