Brazuca 14 balls
Brazuca 14
— a ball designed by Adidas for the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil. The name "Brazuca" was chosen by the fan community, it is an informal friendly self-name of the Brazilians. In the original Brazuca, the chamber is made of natural rubber, and the shell is multi-layered, combining fabric and synthetic foam. The outer surface consists of only 6 parts of a complex, specially selected shape, connected by 12 seams. The characteristic ornament of curved lines is applied to the surface using blue, green, orange and black colours. Technically, the ball turned out to be quite successful — much better than previous attempts by Adidas in creating balls with a non-standard cut.
