Outdoor thermometers

External thermometer

— models designed exclusively for measuring temperature outdoors (or in rooms where conditions are not very different from external ones — hangars, garages, etc.). This category includes mostly “window” thermometers familiar to many with a liquid or mechanical principle of operation (see “Type”), but there are also electronic models in which only a special sensor is located outside. The key design difference between most external thermometers and household ones is increased resistance to water, dust, low temperatures, etc.
