Colour balancing lens filters
— light filters designed to correct the colour balance (colour temperature) of an image. Relevant primarily for film photography, because. digital cameras have their own setup tools. Colour temperature describes the overall hue of ambient light — the closer it is to cold tones (blue, purple), the higher the temperature; if the characteristics of the film do not match the colour balance in the lighting, the colours in the picture come out distorted. Colour balancing filters allow you to correct this by adjusting the colour balance of the image entering the film in the right direction.
