— synthetic rubber, which is valued in grips for its excellent combination of softness, elasticity, and resistance to moisture and UV rays. Unlike regular foam, neoprene does not absorb water and retains its cushioning properties even in rainy weather, making these grips well-suited for cross-country and touring. The material provides a comfortable grip, is resistant to compression and deformation, and is pleasant to the touch. Neoprene grips are also lighter than rubber ones but slightly denser and more durable than their silicone counterparts.
