Single lever tap sets (joystick)
Single lever (joystick)
— the most common option in modern tap sets. The operation of such a tap is controlled by a characteristic lever, which is usually capable of moving in two planes; while moving in one plane (usually in the direction "from the body — to the body"), the pressure of the water changes, and in the other (perpendicular to the first) — the temperature. On the practical side, such a design is convenient in a number of ways. Firstly, it allows you to change the pressure, practically without changing the temperature, and vice versa. Secondly, on such a tap, you can immediately turn on the water of a more or less exact temperature — it is enough to turn the joystick along the “temperature” axis in the closed position, selecting the settings, and only then move it to open. Similarly, you can "save" the selected settings by closing the tap after use by moving along one axis, but not shifting along the other: the next time you open the water temperature, the water temperature will be approximately the same. Technically, single-lever models are suitable for any application: washbasin, kitchen, bath, shower, bidet; while most of these mixers have a stylish modern look. Their main disadvantage can be called a slightly lower adjustment accuracy than two-valve ones (this is especially true for low-cost models). However, most often this drawback is not noticeable, and the adjustment procedure itself not only provides the possibilities described above, but is also extremely simple: instead of two valves, you have to deal with one common joystick. Thus, most of the sets nowadays are equipped with this particular type of tap.single lever (joystick) | clear | Save List |
