Combined AVRs
Combined
— stabilizers, created as an attempt to combine the advantages of electromechanical and relay devices in one device. Their design includes both a carbon brush driven by an electric motor and a relay. When voltage fluctuations are small, the first adjustment circuit is used — it is characterized by smoothness and high accuracy. If the jumps in parameters exceed the capabilities of electromechanics, the relay is activated, including additional sections of the transformer winding. Thus, the combined models significantly exceed the electromechanical ones in terms of the operating range, while they work more accurately and quieter than the relay ones (when the relay is turned on, noise can still occur, but the operations themselves rarely occur). Among the shortcomings, it is worth noting the high cost and the need for maintenance of the carbon brush. No offers found
