Vaseline car lubricants

Vaseline

— a soft base obtained from petroleum products. Universal lubricants and some penetrating lubricants (see "Purpose") are made on a Vaseline base. They are intended for lubricating lightly loaded mechanisms (locks, hinges, etc.). Vaseline lubricants provide protection against corrosion, but are quickly washed out by water. They also have low heat resistance (up to about 60 °C).
